Pavel Dorofeyev scored the game-winning goal to help Jiri Patera and the Vegas Golden Knights (41-20-6) to a 5-3 win against the St. Louis Blues (29-32-5) on Sunday night at Enterprise Center.

HOW IT WENT DOWN
William Karlsson got the scoring started as he lifted a backhand shot past Jordan Binnington to give Vegas a 1-0 lead. Five minutes later, Jakub Vrana potted a power-play goal to tie the game and the teams went into the break level at 1-1. Jonathan Marchessault and Michael Amadio scored 1:42 apart to open up a 3-1 lead for the Golden Knights early in the middle frame. Late in the period, Jordan Kyrou scored to make it a 3-2 game heading into the final stanza. After Tyler Pitlick scored to tie the game, Pavel Dorofeyev scored his first NHL to put Vegas back in front, 4-3. Alex Pietrangelo's empty-net goal was the finishing touch on a 5-3 win for the Golden Knights.

Jiri Patera: Patera made 30 saves in his first NHL action to pick up his first win.
Pavel Dorofeyev:Dorofeyev had his first two NHL points as he assisted on Karlsson's goal before scoring his own in the third period.

Jonathan Marchessault:Marchessault's goal marked his seventh point in the last six games (4G, 3A).
William Karlsson: Karlsson extended his point streak to three games with his first period goal.

Jiri Patera became the first goaltender in Vegas Golden Knights history to be drafted by the team and appear in a game in net. Patera was selected in the sixth round of the 2017 NHL draft by Vegas.
