Vegas fell to the Toronto Maple Leafs in a 4-3 shootout loss on Tuesday night at T-Mobile Arena. The Golden Knights used goals from William Karlsson and Alex Pietrangelo to erase a 3-1 deficit in the third period and force overtime. William Nylander scored in regulation before burying the only goal of the shootout in the win for Toronto. Keegan Kolesar also scored for Vegas.
OPPOSITION UPDATE
Pittsburgh will play the last of a four-game stint against Pacific Division opponents Monday night against the Golden Knights. The Penguins have put up a 2-1-0 mark on the trip and are 5-2-0 in January.
Jake Guentzel is Pittsburgh's top scorer this season with 37 points (19G, 18A) in 31 games while Kris Letang leads all Penguins defensemen in scoring with 32 points (3G, 29A).
