The Vegas Golden Knights (36-12-2) topped the Arizona Coyotes (22-24-6), 3-2, in overtime on Saturday night at Gila River Arena.
HOW IT WENT DOWN
William Karlsson got the Golden Knights on the board midway through the first period with his 14th goal of the season. Vegas carried the one-goal lead into the intermission and Mark Stone added to it just 5:14 into the middle frame. In the third, Christian Fischer and Christian Dvorak scored to tie the game and send it to overtime. With Vegas on a power play in the extra session, Alex Pietrangelo set up Jonathan Marchessault for the game-winning goal to close the season series with a 3-2 win for the Golden Knights.
