Jonathan Marchessault scored in the final minute of overtime to propel the Vegas Golden Knights (38-13-2) to a 4-3 overtime win against the St. Louis Blues (24-19-9) on Friday night at T-Mobile Arena.
HOW IT WENT DOWN
Reilly Smith knocked home his 11th goal of the season to give the Golden Knights a 1-0 lead at 13:23 of the opening frame. St. Louis answered with 1:52 to play in the period as Ryan O'Reilly netted a shorthanded goal. The Blues scored twice in the second period to take a 3-1 lead, but Alec Martinez scored in the final 10 seconds to bring Vegas to within one heading into the third. Nicolas Roy scored in the third period to tie the game and the contest went to overtime. With 18 seconds to go in the extra frame, Marchessault snuck in and scored the game-winning goal to lift Vegas to a 4-3 victory.

STAT OF THE KNIGHT
Robin Lehner earned his 13th victory of the season as he made 22 saves. The win came in his 300th NHL start. The victory also helped Vegas improve to 9-0-0 in overtime this year.
