Another day and another postponement as the beat goes on in the NHL's Covid winter.
The Golden Knights were set to play in San Jose tonight but Sharks forward Tomas Hertl being placed on the league's covid protocol list resulted in the game being postponed.

For Vegas, who might have played its best game of the season Monday, earning a 3-0 win over the Colorado Avalanche, the delay means the team won't play again until Saturday in Anaheim.
Such a pause brings both the good and the bad. The club would like to have built on Monday's game and carried that momentum forward. On the other hand, giving Marc-Andre Fleury a little rest is a positive as is the practice time coach Pete DeBoer has been able to spend with his club.
Some fun numbers:
Vegas is No. 1 in the league in team save percentage at .923. The team finished 25th in the league last season.
The Golden Knights are third in the NHL with an 87.23 penalty kill percentage and has the second lowest goal differential on the PK with 1 GF - 6 GA.
Vegas is 3rd in unblocked shot attempts against on the PK, and 2nd in shots on net against, so it's not just great goaltending - the team is doing a great job defending on the PK.
The Golden Knights are more disciplined this season, taking 3.42 penalties per 60 and having a +3 penalty differential. Compared to last year, when Vegas took 3.51 penalties per 60 last year and had a -18 penalty differential.
