Mark your calendars because the Golden Knights are set to play a full 82-game season in 2021-22. After an unusual year, Vegas is set to see familiar foes, teams they haven't seen in over a year and the newest team to the NHL.
The return to a full 82-game slate represents a return to the grind for each team in the NHL. As the Golden Knights enter their fifth year in the league, take a look at some of the standout matchups set for the 2021-22 regular season.

Tuesday, Oct. 12 Seattle Kraken at Vegas Golden Knights
The Vegas Golden Knights are no longer the newest franchise in the NHL. Just four years after its inaugural season, Vegas will welcome the Seattle Kraken to the league for the open of the 2021-22 season on Oct. 12 at T-Mobile Arena. The game will be aired on ESPN.
Kraken forward Joonas Donskoi leads the team in career games played against Vegas as he's faced the VGK 16 times. The former Avalanche and Shark forward also leads the new team in points with eight (3G, 5A) against the Golden Knights throughout his career.
The Golden Knights set the bar high during their inaugural season and they will look to spoil the first game in franchise history for the Kraken.
Tuesday, Oct. 26 Vegas Golden Knights at Colorado Avalanche
The Golden Knights will travel to Colorado to take on the Avalanche on Oct. 26 in an anticipated rematch from the playoffs. The two teams split the season series, 4-4, last year. After falling behind 2-0 to the Avalanche in the Stanley Cup Playoffs Second Round, Vegas stormed back with four consecutive victories to eliminate the President's Trophy winners and advance to the semifinals.
Max Pacioretty recorded eight points (6G, 2A) in seven games last season against Colorado to lead the team in the season series. Nathan Mackinnon put up six points (2G, 4A) in eight games during the regular season. Marc-Andre Fleury went 4-3-0 with a 2.14 goals-against average (GAA) and a .932 save percentage against Colorado last year en route to his first Vezina Trophy. Fellow Vezina finalist Philipp Grubauer was solid against the Golden Knights with a 4-2-0 record, a 1.86 GAA and a .935 save percentage.
Saturday, Nov. 6 Vegas Golden Knights at Montreal Canadiens
The Golden Knights will go north of the border to face the Montreal Canadiens on Nov. 6 at the Bell Centre. Vegas and Montreal didn't meet in the regular season, but they did end up clashing in the Stanley Cup Semifinals. The Canadiens won the series, 4-2, and went on to the Stanley Cup Final.
In their series, Alex Pietrangelo stood out with four points (3G, 1A) in six games and was an anchor for Vegas on the back end. Goaltender Carey Price was a difference maker for Montreal with a .933 save percentage and a 2.10 GAA in the third round.
Tuesday, Dec. 14 Vegas Golden Knights at Boston Bruins
Vegas heads east for a four-game road trip starting with the Boston Bruins on Dec. 14. The Bruins are another team the Golden Knights haven't seen since the 2019-20 season. When they last met on Jan. 21, 2020, Boston got the better of Vegas with a 3-2 win.
The Golden Knights will work to cut into Boston's 5-1-1 record in their seven previous matchups. Mark Stone has three points (2G, 1A) in two games against Boston since joining the Golden Knights. Vegas has struggled to find offense against the Bruins as Boston goalies have combined for a .940 save percentage against the Golden Knights.
Tuesday, Dec. 21 Tampa Bay Lightning at Vegas Golden Knights
The Vegas Golden Knights play host to the defending Stanley Cup Champions on Dec. 21. These two teams have not faced off against one another since Feb 20, 2020, when Vegas beat Tampa Bay, 5-3, at T-Mobile Arena.
Although they haven't met in the last year, Vegas leads the all-time series, 4-2. Shea Theodore has found success in his career against the Lightning with seven points (2G, 5A) in six games. Lightning captain Steven Stamkos has notched nine points (4G, 5A) in six games against the Golden Knights while Nikita Kucherov has a team-high eight assists in his career against Vegas.
