The Vegas Golden Knights (3-1-0) wound up in the loss column for the first time this season as they dropped a 3-2 decision to the Calgary Flames (3-0-0) on Tuesday night at Scotiabank Saddledome.

HOW IT WENT DOWN
Vegas jumped out to a 2-0 lead as William Carrier and Brett Howden each potted their first goals of the season. In a second period plagued by penalties, the Flames used goals from Elias Lindholm and Tyler Toffoli to tie the game. In the third, Mikael Backlund's goal was the difference maker as Calgary took the win, 3-2.
