Pavel Dorofeyev's heroics led the Vegas Golden Knights (48-22-7) to a 4-3 shootout win against the Minnesota Wild (44-23-10) on Monday night at Xcel Energy Center.

HOW IT WENT DOWN
Keegan Kolesar put Vegas up 1-0 when he tipped in Ben Hutton's shot halfway through the first period. Brandon Duhaime then tied the game at 1-1 for Minnesota early in the middle frame. The Wild then took a 2-1 lead when John Klingberg netted a power-play goal. With less than five minutes remaining in the period, Dorofeyev scored to tie things up at 2-2. Then, with less than one minute to go in the period, Matt Boldy put Minnesota back ahead, 3-2. In the final minute of the third, Dorofeyev scored his second goal of the game to send it to overtime. After the teams traded goals for four rounds, Reilly Smith scored to secure the extra point for Vegas in the 4-3 win.
