Golden Knights Outlasted By Penguins in 4-3 Defeat
Vegas falls to 1-1-0 on its road trip

The Vegas Golden Knights (17-7-1) took their first loss of their road trip as they fell to the Pittsburgh Penguins (12-8-4), 4-3, on Thursday night at PPG Paints Arena.
HOW IT WENT DOWN Jack Eichel opened the scoring with his team-leading 12th goal of the season at 3:59 of the opening frame. Reilly Smith added to the lead late in the period and the Golden Knights took the two-goal lead into the intermission. Pittsburgh used goals from Brock McGinn and Rickard Rakell to level the score in the second period and the teams went into the third tied at 2-2. Shea Theodore potted a power-play goal early in the finale frame to give Vegas back the lead, but Jake Guentzel and Kasperi Kapanen scored in quick succession to put Pittsburgh ahead, 4-3. The Penguins held of the Golden Knights in the final seconds to come away with the victory. LOOKING AHEAD
