Nate Schmidt set up Paul Stastny for the game-winning goal in overtime as the Vegas Golden Knights defeated the Nashville Predators, 4-3, on Wednesday night at Bridgestone Arena.

HOW IT WENT DOWN
Mark Stone knocked home his 11th goal of the season to give Vegas a 1-0 lead. Reilly Smith added to the lead in the second period before Mikael Granlund and Ryan Ellis tied the game for Nashville. Matt Duchene gave Nashville the lead in the third period but Max Pacioretty leveled the score with .3 seconds remaining to send the game to overtime. After a costly turnover by the Predators, Schmidt and Stastny dashed in on a 2-on-0 to score the game-winner.
TOP PERFORMERS
Paul Stastny: Stastny scored for the second game in a row to lift Vegas to victory.
Mark Stone: Stone got Vegas on the board with the all-important first goal of the game.
Reilly Smith: Smith notched his 11th goal of the campaign on a crafty breakaway in the second period.
Roman Josi: Josi had two assists for the Predators.
LOOKING AHEAD
The Golden Knights return home for a Gold Friday matchup against the Arizona Coyotes at 3 p.m. at T-Mobile Arena.
