A four-game road trip came to an end Sunday night for the Vegas Golden Knights as they dropped a 4-1 decision to the Boston Bruins at TD Garden.
HOW IT WENT DOWN
The Bruins got on the board early as Anders Bjork fed Danton Heinen on a 2-on-1 to get the scoring going. With less than three minutes to play in the first, a miscue from Malcolm Subban wound up behind him as Jeremy Lauzon scored. Brad Marchand scored a goal 58 seconds into the middle period to increase Boston's lead to 3-0, but Cody Eakin answered midway through the frame to cut the lead to 3-1. Late in the third, the Golden Knights took two penalties on the same shift, triggering a 5-on-3 for Boston. David Pastrnak scored on that power play to extend the Bruin lead to 4-1.

TURNING POINT
Marchand's goal early in the second period took some wind out of the Golden Knights' sails. They had just killed off a lengthy 5-on-3 and Marchand's goal came one second after the expiration of the power play.
TOP PERFORMERS
Cody Eakin: All five of Eakin's goals this season have come against Eastern Conference teams. His goal in the second period gave the Golden Knights some life.
Jaroslav Halak: His 36 saves frustrated the Golden Knights as they weren't able to solve him enough times to come back.
David Pastrnak: Pastrnak had two points in the game, including his league-leading 16th goal of the year.
STAT OF THE GAME
Vegas had some penalty trouble throughout the night. It led to three separate 5-on-3 advantages for the Bruins.
LOOKING AHEAD
The Golden Knights return home for two games to take on the Anaheim Ducks on November 14 and the St. Louis Blues on November 16.
