HOW IT WENT DOWN

William Karlsson answered with his second goal of the year late in the first, but a goal in the final minute of the frame from Nazem Kadri sent Colorado into the intermission leading by one. Cale Makar, Kadri and Matt Calvert converted for the Avalanche during the second period as Vegas fell behind, 5-1. Calvert scored again in the third to allow Colorado to leave with a 6-1 win.
