Despite a 45-23 advantage in shots on goal, the Vegas Golden Knights (24-17-6) were defeated by the Los Angeles Kings (18-24-4), 5-2, on Thursday night at T-Mobile Arena.
HOW IT WENT DOWN
The Kings took charge of the game in the first period with four goals in the opening 20 minutes. Vegas battled back with goals from Reilly Smith and Max Pacioretty in the second period, but the pair of tallies was all the Golden Knights could muster. Los Angeles scored in the dying seconds to cap the 5-2 win.
The Golden Knights gear up for the final game of their seven-game homestand on Saturday at 7 p.m. against the Columbus Blue Jackets. Fans can catch the game on AT&T SportsNet, FOX Sports 98.9/1340 and Deportes Vegas 1460.
