HOW IT WENT DOWN
Craig Smith put Boston up 2-0 when he scored the team's first two goals. With less than three minutes left in the second period, Jack Eichel cashed in on his first goal at T-Mobile Arena to cut the Boston lead to one. With five minutes left in the contest, Smith netted his third of the game to give the Bruins a 4-1 lead. Vegas pulled Robin Lehner for the extra attacker and Jonathan Marchessault scored to cut the Boston edge to 4-2. David Pastrnak added an empty-net goal to seal Boston's 5-2 win.
