Golden Knights Beaten In Overtime By San Jose, 2-1

Vegas outshot San Jose, 38-29, for the game

The Vegas Golden Knights endured a 2-1 loss in overtime to the San Jose Sharks on Thursday night at T-Mobile Arena on Hockey Fights Cancer night.

HOW IT WENT DOWN
The Golden Knights skated through their second scoreless opening period in as many games as neither team found the back of the net in the first 20 minutes. A goal from Timo Meier gave the Sharks a 1-0 lead in the second frame and the visitors carried the edge into the third period. Midway through the third period, Brayden McNabb potted his second goal of the season to knot the score at 1-1. Regulation expired without another goal and, at 3:20 of overtime, Logan Couture scored the game-winning goal as the Sharks took home a 2-1 win.

Brayden McNabb: McNabb's second strike of the season ignited his team in the final 10 minutes of regulation.

Marc-Andre Fleury: Fleury's 27 saves helped the Golden Knights reach overtime and collect one point.

Aaron Dell:Dell stopped 37-of-38 Vegas shots to lead San Jose to the overtime win.
