Game 1: Providence vs. Army
Golden Knights prospect Jack Dugan, who leads the NCAA in scoring with 36 points (7G, 29A), found the back of the net midway through the first period with a power-play goal at the 9:23 mark. Five minutes later, Luke Johnson doubled the Friars' lead heading into the first intermission. After a scoreless second, Providence and Army exchanged goals in the third to send the Friars ahead with a 3-1 victory.
Providence will face the winner of No. 6 Ohio State and No. 2 Cornell in the championship game Saturday
Game 2: Cornell vs. Ohio State
Cornell found themselves in the win column after they defeated Ohio State, 5-2, during their first appearance at the Fortress Invitational. Ben Berard opened up the scoring for Cornell in the first half of the opening period.
Big Red tallied two more in the second and one more in the third. OSU notched a two goals in the final 20, but Cornell came out on top after collecting their fifth of the night. Cornell advances to face Providence in the championship game.
