LAS VEGAS (Dec. 9, 2016) - The Vegas Golden Knights announced today that it has hired Eric Tosi as its Vice President of Communications and Content. He will begin work on December 19.
Tosi is in his 10th season with the Boston Bruins, most recently serving as the team's Director of Communications and Content. In this role, he serves as the team's primary spokesperson, oversees the team's off-ice public relations efforts, and helps direct the club's digital, social and content production and strategy.
In addition, Tosi is the executive producer, writer, and director of the Bruins' two award-winning television shows, "Behind the B" and "Bruins Academy." Now in its fourth season, "Behind the B" won a 2016 New England Emmy® Award for the "Best Sports Series" while "Bruins Academy" captured a 2016 New England Emmy® Award for "Outstanding Youth/Children's Program" in its first year.
Tosi also co-authored the Bruins official Stanley Cup Championship book in 2011. He has been a part of three Dillman Award-winning staffs with the Bruins -- an annual honor given to the top media relations departments in the NHL -- and was recently selected by the NHL to work the 2016 World Cup of Hockey as a Communications/PR Consultant for the Czech Republic team.
He joined the Bruins in 2007 after three seasons with Red Bull New York of Major League Soccer. He began his career in the Media/Public Relations Department of the NFL's New York Jets.
"Eric is a respected and battle-tested communications professional as well as a writer and producer of award-winning content that engages fans," said Nehme E. Abouzeid, the Golden Knights' Chief Marketing Officer. "He will add to the already solid team we have put in place here in Las Vegas."
A Massachusetts native, Tosi graduated from the College of the Holy Cross with a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science. He has been actively involved in the Big Brothers Big Sisters Organization in the New England area.
