The Vegas Golden Knights were defeated by the Montreal Canadiens, 3-2, in overtime in Game 3 of their Stanley Cup Semifinals series on Friday night at Bell Centre.
HOW IT WENT DOWN
The first period came and went without a goal, but Nicolas Roy beat Carey Price early in the second period to give Vegas a 1-0 lead. Cole Caufield answered less than a minute later to get Montreal on the board and the teams entered the final frame level at 1-1. Alex Pietrangelo gave Vegas the lead early in the third, but Josh Anderson potted the equalizer late in regulation to force overtime. Anderson scored again in overtime to give Montreal the win.
