Mark Stone's NHL journey began when he was selected in the sixth round (178th overall) by the Ottawa Senators in 2010. With the odds stacked against him as a late draft pick, Stone has exceled to become a dominant player in the NHL.

Since the trade that brought him to Vegas from Ottawa, Stone has continued his upward trajectory in stats and accolades. He's put up 161 points (54G, 107A) in 161 games as a Golden Knight and another 37 points (18G, 19A) in playoff games with Vegas. The captain's "C" has been stitched on his chest and on Jan. 13, he was selected as an NHL All-Star for the first time in his career.
Stone joins Alex Pietrangelo and head coach Pete DeBoer as the three representatives for the Golden Knights at NHL All-Star Weekend in Las Vegas Feb. 4-5.
"It's pretty cool," Stone said. "I've never been before so I'm looking forward to being around some of the best players in the world for the first time in this setting."
During the weekend, Stone will represent the Pacific Division in the 3-on-3 All-Star Game on Sunday and will participate in Saturday's All-Star Skills, though he won't learn which event he'll do until closer to the weekend. He said he's especially excited to be part of the festivities in his team's home city.
"I think it's going to be a pretty cool experience," Stone said. "Our city is electric, and our building is the best in the NHL in atmosphere and production. I'm excited to see what they put together for the All-Star game and I'm sure our fans will appreciate it."
