Skapski stops 22 shots as the Ice down the Pats

REGINA - Mackenzie Skapski stopped 22 shots as the Kootenay Ice downed the host Regina Pats 3-1 on Saturday in Western Hockey League play.

Sam Reinhart scored the winning goal on the power play at 16:05 of the third period for the Ice (23-25-2), who won their sixth game in their last seven outings, and Jon Martin and Levi Cable scored the others.

Lane Scheidl had the lone goal for the Pats (18-27-5), who are now winless in their last seven games, and Matt Hewitt turned away 35-of-37 shots in a losing cause.

Kootenay went 1 for 6 on the power play while Regina failed to score on five chances with the man advantage.
