KENNEWICK, Wash. - Luke Lee-Knight made 42 saves as the Tri-City Americans defeated the Prince George Cougars 5-2 in Western Hockey League play Wednesday.
Jesse Mychan and Connor Rankin each had a goal and an assist for the Americans, while Malte Stromwall, Michal Plutnar and Parker Bowles also scored.
Justin Feser, who had three assists and played his 300th consecutive regular-season game, ranks second all-time in the Western Hockey League behind Dwayne Newman, who played 311 consecutive games from 1988-92.
With the win, Tri-City (30-19-3) moved to within a point of fourth-place Spokane in the Western Conference.
Chase Witala scored two goals for the Cougars (15-30-6), who are 1-3-0 under new head coach Mark Holick.
Brett Zarowny and Mac Engel combined for 27 saves in the loss.
