BELLEVILLE, Ont. - Alan Quine had a goal and five assists for the Belleville Bulls as they rolled past the Kingston Frontenacs 8-2 on Wednesday night in Ontario Hockey League action.
Daniil Zharkov had a hat trick to go along with singles from Carter Sandlak, Stephen Silas, Michael Curtis and Jordan Subban for Belleville (28-13-6).
Jean Dupuy and Sam Bennett both scored for Kingston (20-24-4).
Belleville scored four goals in the first period to essentially end the game early. Zharkov was the beneficiary of a tic-tac-toe passing play to open the scoring.
Minutes later Sandlak went in alone on Mike Morrison with a low shot that froze the Kingston netminder. Silas and Quine also scored to round out the first period.
Belleville kept rolling with goals from Curtis and Subban in the second. Morrison gave way to Colin Furlong after giving up six goals on 15 shots.
Dupuy got the Frontenacs on the scoreboard but Belleville kept applying pressure and Zharkov answered back with his second and third of the night for an 8-1 lead.
Bennett's goal came early in the third period to cap the scoring.
Furlong finished the game making 18 saves on 20 shots while Malcolm Subban made 33 saves in the win.
