Buffalo, NY – Flyers rookie R.J. Umberger took part in the morning skate with the team on Monday at HSBC Arena, but will not play in Game Two of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals against Buffalo.
"I feel pretty good, actually. I felt real good out there skating. I felt fine," said Umberger after he came off of the ice. "I've had a little nasal problem with the nose, but other than that I felt great."
Also, Ken Hitchcock announced that Ben Eager would be inserted into the lineup for Game Two.
"He's a fast and physical player and that's what we expect," said Hitchcock of Eager. "He knows how to play and he's played in big games. He gets on people and creates a lot of energy. We feel confident that he's got the agility and the speed to get up on the attack and he's got the moxie down low with the puck to wear people down."
Eager played in 25 regular season games with the Flyers this season, his first in the NHL. He registered three goals and five assists for eight points and 18 penalty minutes.
