Trial on the Isle Schedule Announced

The Philadelphia Flyers announced today the schedule of events for their annual excursion to the Jersey Shore, Trial on the Isle, presented by AAA. This family-friendly day, set for Tuesday, July 12 in Stone Harbor, NJ, welcomes all Flyers prospects (and fans) to take to the sand and surf as a part of the prospects’ final day of development camp.

The day’s events will take place as follows:

9 a.m. - Prospect beach activities, 96th St. Beach

10.30 a.m. - Prospect water sports session, Yacht Club of Stone Harbor

12:15 p.m. - Kids “Hooked on Hockey” clinic, Stone Harbor Elementary School

1:15 p.m. - Prospect autograph session, Stone Harbor Elementary School

3:15 p.m. - Prospect beach volleyball tournament, 96th St. Beach

Trial on the Isle activities will begin at 9 a.m. with prospect warm-ups on the beach at 96th Street, followed by skills and team building exercises. At 10:30 a.m., the prospects will travel to the Yacht Club of Stone Harbor (9001 Sunset Drive) for water sports activities in the bay.

At 12:15 p.m., select Flyers prospects will host a free “Hooked on Hockey” clinic for young fans at Stone Harbor Elementary School (275 93rd Street). All participating Trial on the Isle prospects will be available to sign autographs at the school beginning at 1:15 p.m. Admission to the signing is $10. A “fast pass” lane will be available to AAA members.

Trial on the Isle wraps up back on 96th Street Beach with a prospect volleyball tournament at 3:15 p.m. Fans can register in teams of two by CLICKING HERE to participate in the tournament.

All proceeds from the day will go to American Legion Department of New Jersey to benefit Veteran’s Haven South, which helps returning and homeless veterans find housing and employment opportunities.

Trial on the Isle, which concludes the team’s annual prospect camp, is led by Director of Sports Medicine, Jim McCrossin.
