Timonen out vs. Kings

by Staff Writer / Philadelphia Flyers

Just prior to the first period of today's Flyers-Kings game in Los Angeles Flyers GM Paul Holmgren announced that defenseman Kimmo Timonen will not be in the line-up due to a lower-body injury.

He is listed as day-to-day.

Today is the first game Timonen has missed all season, and prior to today, he was one of eight players to have appeared in all 55 games for the Flyers this season.

Timonen has 19 points (2g-17a) in 55 games to go along with a plus-minus rating of plus-1, while averaging over 20-minutes of ice-time (20:43).

Entering the line-up for the first time in three games is Andrej Meszaros, who has four goals and 15 points in 32 games and is a plus-1.
