On this date in 2002, the Flyers debuted their new alternate jersey in a 3-0 loss against the Toronto Maple Leafs at the First Union Center.

- In 1988, the Flyers traded center Peter Zezel to St. Louis for center Mike Bullard. Bullard was a Flyers for two seasons in 1988-90. He played 124 games with the organization, recording 50 goals and 63 assists for 113 points while also compiling 127 penalty minutes.

- In 1998, John LeClair recorded four goals in the Flyers 6-2 win over the Vancouver Canucks. LeClair would finish his Flyers career with 11 hat tricks and 333 goals.
