      March 30, 1999...Flyers and Hurricanes Skate To 3-3 Tie

Ron Hextall is first on the Flyers All-Time List in three categories for goaltenders (games - 489, wins - 240 and points - 29).
On this date in 1999, the Flyers and Carolina Hurricanes skated to a 3-3 tie at the First Union Center.

Mikael Renberg, Steve Duchesne and Rod Brind'Amour each scored a goal for the Flyers. Dan McGillis and Ron Hextall each posted two assists in the contest.

With two assists, Hextall tied the team record for most assists in a game by a goaltender. Hextall set the mark in a 6-5 win at the New York Islanders on November 29, 1986. Mark Laforest tied the mark on December 4, 1988 in a 6-2 win over the New Jersey Devils.

Hextall finished his Flyers career with 29 points (1G,28A) in 489 regular season games, which are the most for a Flyers goaltender. With 33 career points, Hextall is sixth among NHL goaltenders in career points.
