      March 26, 1975...Flyers Defeat Golden Seals, 6-2

Parent finished the 1974-75 season with 44 wins, tied for second most in NHL history
On this date in 1975, the Flyers defeated the Golden Seals in California, 6-2.


Right wing Reggie Leach recorded a hat trick to lead the Flyers. Bob Kelly, Larry Goodenough and Ross Lonsberry each scored a goal for the Flyers.

Goaltender Bernie Parent stopped 26 of 28 shots faced to record the win. The win was his 40th of the season.

Parent became just the second goalie in NHL history to record consecutive 40-or-more win seasons, joining Terry Sawchuk as the only players to accomplish the feat.

Parent is one of just four goaltenders to post consecutive 40-win seasons in NHL history (Parent, Sawchuk, Ken Dryden and Martin Brodeur).
