June 7, 1972 & 1976...Bobby Clarke Wins NHL Award

In 15 NHL seasons, Bobby Clarke won five NHL awards; the Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy, the Frank J. Selke Trophy and three Hart Memorial Trophies.

On this date in 1972, Bobby Clarke received the Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy for perseverance, sportsmanship and dedication to hockey, becoming the first Flyer to receive an individual NHL award.

On this date in 1976, Clarke received the Hart Memorial Trophy as "the player adjudged to be the most valuable to his team" for the third time in four seasons, becoming only the fifth three-time winner in NHL history.

Clarke would later win the Frank J. Selke Trophy as "the forward who best excels in the defensive aspects of the game" (1983).
