                             Bob Froese
On this date in 1984, the Flyers defeated the Toronto Maple Leafs at the Spectrum, 7-0. Center Dave Poulin led the Flyers with two goals in the game. Poulin, Bobby Clarke (1G,2A) and Mark Howe (1G,2A) each posted three points in the victory. Goaltender Bob Froese stopped all 24 Maple Leafs shots to record the shutout.

The win gave the Flyers the season sweep of Toronto, winning all three games between the two teams, for the first time in franchise history. The 7-0 win is also the second largest margin of victory and second most decisive shutout win against Toronto in Flyers history. The Flyers defeated the Maple Leafs, 10-0, on March 4, 1973.
