February 3, 1994...Flyers lose to San Jose, 3-2

On this date in 1994, the Flyers lost to the San Jose Sharks, 3-2 in overtime. The Flyers jumped out to a 2-0 first-period lead on goals by Mark Recchi and Andre Faust, before two second-period goals by the Sharks tied the game at 2-2. A scoreless third period was followed by a goal scored by Sergei Makarov at 3:13 of overtime to give the Sharks the 3-2 win. The win was San Jose's first win in Philadelphia.

This game is also the only time that the Flyers have lost on February 3 in team history. The Flyers have a 5-1-5 record in 11 games played on February 3.
