February 18, 1982...Flockhart Scores Again

On this date in 1982, Ron Flockhart scored a goal in the Flyers' 7-4 loss to the New York Islanders at the Spectrum.

With the goal, Flockhart had scored at least one goal in seven straight games, tying the team record for most consecutive games scoring a goal. He tied the record set by Gary Dornhoefer during the 1972-73 season.

Flockhart would score again two nights later (February 20) in the Flyers' 6-5 loss at Pittsburgh to run his streak to eight games. He and the Flyers would be shutout in their next game, a 1-0 loss to Boston on February 21. His streak would run from February 4 through 20, as he scored nine goals over those eight games.

Rick Tocchet would break Flockhart's record by scoring at least a goal in nine consecutive games from March 1
