On this date in 2000, the Flyers traded Gino Odjick to the Montreal Canadiens in exchange for P.J. Stock and a sixth round pick in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft.

Odjick recorded nine points (5G,4A) in 49 games with the Canadiens before retiring after the 2001-02 season. Stock posted four points (1G,3A) in 31 games for the Flyers during the 2000-01 season, before he signed as a free agent with the NY Rangers on August 23, 2001. The Flyers used the sixth round pick obtained from Montreal, which was 172nd overall, to select defenseman Dennis Seidenberg.
