The Philadelphia Flyers have recalled eight players from their American Hockey League affiliate, the Adirondack Phantoms, according to general manager Paul Holmgren.  These eight players will practice with the Flyers for the duration of the playoffs.
The recalled players are:
Brandon Alderson (6-4, 195)
Nick Cousins (5-11, 170)
Ben Holmstrom (6-1, 180)
Petr Straka (6-0, 195)
D Mark Alt (6-3, 205)
D Oliver Lauridsen (6-6, 220)
D Brandon Manning (6-1, 195)
Yann Danis (6-0, 185)

, 22 (1/22/92), finished his first full year of pro hockey after leading the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds of the Ontario Hockey League in goals (28) in 2012-13. He recorded 14 goals and 21 points in 71 regular season games for the Phantoms.  Alderson signed as a free agent on March 1, 2013.
Cousins, 20 (7/20/1993), also finished his first full season of pro hockey after playing with Alderson in Sault Ste. Marie, where he led the Greyhounds with 103 points (27g-76a) in 64 games in 2012-13.  He posted 11 goals and 18 assists for 29 points in 74 games with Adirondack this past season.  Cousins was selected by the Flyers in the 3rd round (68th overall) of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.
Holmstrom, 23 (6/3/1990), served his third season as captain of the Phantoms, finishing fourth on the team in scoring with 32 points (13g-19a) in 75 games.  He appeared in all but one game for Adirondack a year after only appearing in 22 games before sustaining a season-ending knee injury on December 8.  Holmstrom originally signed with the Flyers as a free agent on March 17, 2010.
, 21 (7/15/1992), also appeared in his first professional season after signing a free-agent entry-level contract with the Flyers on Apr. 11 of last year. He posted 27 points (9g-18a) in 60 games for Adirondack.
Alt, 22 (10/18/1991) comes up to the Flyers following his first pro season after signing with the Flyers out the University of Minnesota last April.  The Flyers acquired his rights from Carolina on January 13, 2013.  Alt posted four goals and 22 assists for 26 points in his rookie campaign with the Phantoms.
, 25 (3/24/1989), recorded 11 points (1g-10a) in 63 games for the Phantoms, his third full season with the organization. Last season, Lauridsen appeared in 15 games for the Flyers, recording two goals and an assist to go along with 34 penalty minutes. He made his NHL debut on Mar. 30, 2012 vs. Boston.  He was selected by the Flyers in the seventh round (196th overall) of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.
Manning, 23 (6/4/1990), led the Phantoms defense in scoring with 23 assists and 31 points in 73 games, while also tying for the team lead with 231 penalty minutes. Also in his third full season with the Phantoms, Manning has appeared in 10 regular season games with the Flyers over parts of two seasons, recording two assists.  He signed with the Flyers as a free agent on Nov. 23, 2010.
Danis, 32 (6/21/1981), joins the Flyers after concluding his first season in Adirondack, where he posted a record of 9-11-4 with a 3.01 goals-against-average and .897 save percentage. Prior to joining the Flyers, Danis played two seasons for the Oklahoma City Barons, the AHL affiliate of the Edmonton Oilers, where he led the club to back-to-back Calder Cup Playoff berths.  Danis has appeared in 53 NHL games with the Oilers and the New York Islanders.  He signed with the Flyers as a free agent on July 5, 2013.
