Roster announced for Flyers-Rangers at MSG

Flyers begin crucial home-and-home set as roster battles intensifies

* The Flyers and Rangers meet for the first time this preseason and will be playing the first of games on back-to-back nights with the series ending in Philadelphia on Tuesday.

* This is the fifth preseason game for the Flyers and the final preseason game played on the road for the Flyers, whose lone home game was also away from the Wells Fargo Center as it was played at the PPL Center, home of the club's AHL affiliate, the Lehigh Valley Phantoms. 

* This is also the fifth preseason game for the Rangers but third at Madison Square Garden, where the Rangers are a perfect 2-0-0.

* The Flyers have had all four preseason games decided by one goal with three of the four decided in overtime, while the Rangers have also had all four preseason games decided by one goal with two going past regulation - both of which were at MSG.

* Newly acquired All-Star defenseman, Kevin Shattenkirk, leads the Rangers with three points (3a) in two games played… The Rangers have had seven different players score all seven of their goals this preseason.

* Shayne Gostisbehere leads the Flyers in preseason scoring with three points (1g-2a) as well as leads the team with 10 shots on goal in just two games.
