The Philadelphia Flyers announced that their annual rookie game with the Washington Capitals will take place on Thursday, Sept. 16 at 3 p.m. at the Washington Capitals practice facility, The Kettler Capitals Iceplex, in Arlington, Va.
Admission to the game will be free but due to space limitations the Capitals will require a ticket that fans can obtain from WashingtonCaps.com beginning Sept. 1.

The game marks the end of rookie camp for the Flyers and paves the way for the team’s official 2010 Training Camp to begin on Friday, Sept. 17.
This will be the fourth consecutive year that the Flyers rookies and the Washington Capitals rookies will face off against each other. In 2009, the Flyers rookies took a 7-3 victory over the Caps rookies at The Virtua Center Flyers Skatezone in Voorhees, N.J. James van Riemsdyk
led the way for the Flyers recording four goals and five points in the victory.
Flyers fans will be able to watch the game live through PhiladelphiaFlyers.com, in association with WashingtonCaps.com. The game will be broadcasted with streaming audio and video with Capitals radio voice Steve Kolbe and senior writer Mike Vogel calling the action.
A complete schedule of rookie camp, along with an official rookie camp roster will be announced at a later date.
