RESULTS: Giroux's OT magic advances

by Staff Writer / Philadelphia Flyers

Claude Giroux's last second heroics in overtime against the Blackhawks easily advances to the next round of the Flyers Play of the Year Tournament.

With nearly 1,000 votes cast, Giroux's highlight earned over 80 percent of the votes.

The highlight was another example of a suspenseful and common storyline all season long for the Flyers -- A comeback victory.

In the final 10 seconds of overtime on Mar. 18 at the Wells Fargo Center, Flyers captain Claude Giroux raced down the wing and fired a rocket through the Blackhawks defenseman and over the shoulder of Chicago netminder Antti Raanta to steal a victory in dramatic fashion over the defending Stanley Cup Champions.
