Tickets for all Philadelphia Flyers preseason games at the Wells Fargo Center will go on sale to the general public tomorrow, Tuesday, August 23 at 11 a.m., exactly 50 days to the start of the team’s 50th anniversary season. Tickets will be available online at PhiladelphiaFlyers.com or by phone at 215-218-PUCK.
The Flyers will play the first of three preseason games at the Wells Fargo Center on Tuesday, September 27 against the New York Islanders. The preseason slate also features home games on Saturday, October 1 vs. the Boston Bruins and Monday, October 3 vs. the New York Rangers. All games start at 7 p.m. at the Wells Fargo Center.
On Wednesday, September 28, the Flyers will take on the New Jersey Devils at 7 p.m. at PPL Center, home of their American Hockey League affiliate, the Lehigh Valley Phantoms. This marks the second consecutive year the club will make the trip to Allentown. Tickets for this game can be purchased online at PPLCenter.com.
In addition to getting an early look at the current Flyers roster, fans will have an opportunity during the preseason to see many Flyers of tomorrow. Some of the top prospects scheduled to attend training camp are Nicolas Aube-Kubel, Robert Hagg, Travis Konecny, Pascal Laberge, Sam Morin, Ivan Provorov, and Travis Sanheim, as well as goaltenders Carter Hart, Alex Lyon and Anthony Stolarz.
The Flyers are also celebrating 50 days to their 50th anniversary season tomorrow with a special kickoff celebration up and down the Jersey Shore. Flyers fans can take to the beach as life-size sculptures of the club’s commemorative 50th anniversary logo will be carved in the sand at beaches in Ocean City, NJ (Moorlyn Terrace Beach, outside of the Music Pier), Atlantic City (Pennsylvania Ave. Beach, outside of Resorts Casino/LandShark Bar & Grill), Wildwood Crest (Heather Rd. Beach), and Avalon (79th St. Beach, outside of the Golden Inn).
Fans in Atlantic City (Pennsylvania Ave. Beach, outside of Resorts Casino/LandShark Bar & Grill) can get in on even more 50th anniversary action tomorrow – the first 50 fans to take a photo with the Flyers sand sculpture at 12 p.m. will receive 50 prizes including preseason tickets and Flyers bobble heads.
