The Sens opened the scoring with Mike Hoffman on a power play midway through the first period in a tic-tac-toe passing play down low resulting in a one-timer past Mason to make it 1-0 after 20 minutes.

Ottawa extended their lead by two with a chip shot off a deflection by Ryan Dzingel, but the Flyers stormed back with two quick goals at the end of the period with goals from Claude Giroux and Michael Del Zotto to even things up heading into the third period.

Through a scoreless third period, Jake Voracek fed Claude Giroux for a one-timer on a two on one and beat Mike Condon clean for the victory. Steve Mason stopped 19 of 21 shots for his seventh win of the year.

2. THE TURNING POINT

Claude Giroux's goal in the second period to get the Flyers on the board turned the tide after the team dominated the action though most of the frame. Exactly one minute later Michael Del Zotto fired a puck from just inside the blueline to even things up, giving them momentum they would take into the third period and capitalize on in the extra session.Video: PHI@OTT: Giroux buries nice wrister from the circle

5. THEY SAID IT
"This was a much different game for us. Tuesday was a tale of our goaltender doing a great job and stealing us a couple points. We didn't have a whole lot of gas in the tank. I thought tonight was a 61 minute effort pretty much from start to finish, up and down our lineup. A pretty good effort from our lineup all the way through."
