SCOTT LAUGHTON RAISES PRIDE FLAG AT WELLS FARGO CENTER
Yesterday, on the eve of Pride Month, Flyers forward Scott Laughton raised a Pride flag which will be flown at Wells Fargo Center for the duration of June. Laughton and teammate James van Riemsdyk stand as allies of the LGBTQ+ community and actively serve as ambassadors for You Can Play Project, whose mission is to ensure the safety and inclusion for all who participate in sports.

At this year's Flyers Pride game on February, 21 Laughton and van Riemsdyk partnered with the Flyers organization to launch a new initiative aimed at growing the game of hockey in the LGBTQ+ community. Through the program, Laughton and van Riemsdyk provided four game tickets to select local LGBTQ+ organizations for 12 home games through the remainder of the 2021-2022 season. In addition, Laughton personally matched a $5,000 donation from Flyers Charities to support You Can Play Project to support their work in the greater Philadelphia region to ensure the safety and inclusion for all who participate in sports including LGBTQ+ athletes, coaches and fans.

FLYERS ROWDY 'RITA TO RAISE FUNDS AT COCKTAILS FOR A CAUSE
Last Wednesday, the Philadelphia Flyers and Flyers Charities announced they are teaming up with FCM Hospitality for Cocktails for a Cause, a special month-long fundraiser benefiting four local charities during Philly Pride Month.

Throughout the month of June, patrons visiting Liberty Point Philly will have the chance to purchase the Flyers Rowdy 'Rita, a spin on a mango margarita (tequila, triple sec, orange, mango lime) representing the color orange in the pride rainbow.

Flyers Charities will match FCM's $1 donation up to $10,000 for every Flyers Rowdy 'Rita sold at Liberty Point Philly during Pride Month in June. All funds raised through the Cocktails for a Cause campaign will be distributed to four local LGBTQ charities including William Way LGBT Community Center, Attic Youth Center, Philly Asian Queer, and Galaei.
