Just prior to warmups, Flyers GM Ron Hextall announced that the club has loaned center Boyd Gordon to their AHL affiliate, the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, and activated defenseman Mark Streit from injured reserve.

Streit returns to the lineup after missing the last 13 games with his last appearance coming on Dec. 11 at Detroit. In 31 games, Streit has five goals and 16 points, including six points on the power play (1ppg-5ppa) this season, his fourth with the Flyers.

Gordon has one goal in 13 regular season games this season, his first with the Flyers after signing as a free agent on July 1 last summer.

With the return of Streit, defensemen Shayne Gostisbehere and Nick Schultz come out of the lineup against Boston, while Radko Gudas will be re-inserted after missing Thursday's game.

Michal Neuvirth gets the start in net vs. Bruins after he stopped all 14 shots through the third period and overtime and all three players in the shootout for a 5-4 win over the Canucks on Thursday, coming in relief of Steve Mason.

Prior to the start of today's Flyers-Bruins game, Hextall announced that forward Matt Read will be out of the lineup due to a lower-body injury. He is considered day-to-day.

Read has missed 11 games from Dec. 6-30 with an upper-body injury. Since then he has appeared in the last six games, recording one assist. Overall, Read has posted six goals and 11 points in 33 games this season.

Roman Lyubimov will be in the lineup in Read's absence.
