Flyers general manager Ron Hextall announced following practice today that the club has loaned defenseman Travis Sanheim to their AHL affiliate, the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, and defenseman Philippe Myers to Rouyn-Noranda of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.
Sanheim appeared in three preseason games for the Flyers, recording three assists, and five shots on goal while averaging 17:25 of ice time in that stretch.
"He does a lot of really good things and had the one really good game," said Hextall on Sanheim. "He needs to tighten some things up, but we were really impressed with what he did here."
Myers went scoreless in three games and averaged over 22 minutes of ice time in those three games (22:24), including his first preseason game in which he logged 25:07 of TOI.
"Myers I thought played two really, really good games," added Hextall. "Last night, looked like he hit a little bit of a wall, but I told him that we were extremely impressed with what you did coming off of surgery. He came to camp and played the back-to-back games. I thought maybe the second night he would lose a little altitude but he didn't, so he made a real good showing for himself."
The Flyers camp roster is now at 32 players.
