LAUGHTON, LYUBIMOV LOANED
Flyers GM Ron Hextall announced today that forwards Scott Laughton and Roman Lyubimov have been loaned to their AHL affiliate, the Lehigh Valley Phantoms.
Laughton started the season on injured reserve after being injured during Flyers training camp. He recently appeared in two games with the Phantoms on a conditioning stint, scoring a goal and an assist in the pair of contests.
Lyubimov was recalled to the Flyers prior to their season opening game at Los Angeles and has appeared in 11 of the club's 14 games posting one goal and averaging 9:14 of ice time.
The 24-year-old rookie made his NHL debut on Oct. 18 at Chicago and scored his first NHL goal in a 4-3 overtime win vs. Detroit on Nov. 2
The announcement comes following a light practice day which saw approximately eight players, plus both goaltenders skate.
Next for the Flyers is a meeting against the Maple Leafs at Toronto on Friday where they will face off against the No. 1 overall pick in last summer's draft, Auston Matthews. The Maple Leafs are 5-5-3 and have won three of their last four games, but fell in the last game, 7-0, to the visiting LA Kings.
