Prior to taking the ice for practice on Friday morning, Flyers GM Ron Hextall announced that the club has recalled goaltender Alex Lyon from their American Hockey League affiliate, the Lehigh Valley Phantoms.

Lyon will be available for the club's game on Saturday afternoon against the Tampa Bay Lightning (1pm, NBCSP & 97.5 The Fanatic).

This is Lyon's second recall to the Flyers this season. He was recalled and served as back up on Nov. 5 at Arizona, but did not play.

With the club's top affiliate in Lehigh Valley, Lyon is 2-2-0 with a 3.54 GAA and .910 save percentage in four appearances.

Lyon made his NHL debut with the Flyers last season, and appeared in 11 games where he posted a 4-2-1 mark (2.75 GAA & .905 save percentage).
