Flyers GM Ron Hextall announced today that the club has loaned forward Jordan Weal to their AHL affiliate, the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, and recalled right wing Roman Lyubimov from Lehigh Valley.

Lyubimov appeared in four preseason games, recording one assist while averaging 11:50 of ice time, 2:10 of which has come shorthanded. He will be available for Friday's Flyers-Kings game in Los Angeles and will wear uniform number-13.

Weal appeared in five preseason games, recording two goals and an assist for three points and a +2 rating.

The Flyers currently have two players on injured reserve: forward Scott Laughton and defenseman Michael Del Zotto, and two players unable to play due to suspension: defenseman Radko Gudas (6 games) and forward Brayden Schenn (3 games) to start the season.

The 24-year-old Lyubimov was signed by the Flyers this summer on July 11 after spending parts of six seasons in the KHL where he recorded 34 points (15g-19a) in 185 regular season games and 14 points (8g-6a) in 39 postseason games.

The Flyers open their 50th anniversary on Friday when they take on the Kings in Los Angeles (10:30 p.m. ET, CSN & 97.5 The Fanatic).
