Flyers GM Ron Hextall announced that forward Sean Couturier sustained a lower-body injury and will not return to the Flyers-Panthers game in South Florida. He will be further evaluated on Wednesday.

Couturier appeared in 6:05 of ice time and was a +1 in the first period, but left the ice on his first shift at 18:20 of the second period and did not return.

Prior to tonight's game, Couturier had recorded points in four of his last six games with four points (2g-2a), while totaling five goals and eight points in 19 games. He has also averaged 18:42 of ice-time, which is the fourth most among Flyers forwards.

After two seasons of playing all 82 games in 2013-14 & 2014-15, Couturier missed 19 games last season due to injury.

The Flyers travel to Tampa following tonight's game against the Panthers to take on the Lightning in the second of their back-to-back set on Wednesday (7:30 p.m., CSN & 97.5 The Fanatic).
