by Staff Writer / Philadelphia Flyers

In celebration of Flyers hockey at the home of the team’s ECHL affiliate Reading Royals, Flyers legends will take the ice in a just-announced official Flyers Alumni Game, scheduled for Friday, February 5, 2016 at 7 p.m., at Santander Arena (700 Penn St.) in Reading, PA.

The event will feature representation from every decade of Flyers Hockey, with famed alumni members squaring off against each other in an intrasquad game. Confirmed alumni in attendance include: Danny Briere, Kimmo Timonen, Bob Clarke, Ray Allison, Bill Clement, Paul Holmgren, Bob Kelly, Brad Marsh, Dave Poulin, Brian Propp, and Joe Watson. Full alumni rosters will be announced closer to the event.

“We are excited to celebrate Flyers Hockey as well as the legacy that our alumni have left,” said Flyers Alumni Association President Brad Marsh. “With this game’s expanded rosters, we’re able to bring the decades together and really give fans a treat for this first-ever Flyers match-up in Reading.”

“The Royals organization is extremely pleased to welcome Flyers alumni to Reading for a celebration of Hockey. This game will engage several generations of Flyers fans seeing some of their favorites take the ice again,” Royals President Drew Bell said. “This game and the events surrounding it will be another great foundational piece to the affiliation relationship and hockey in general throughout the Greater Berks County area.”
