(December 14) - The Philadelphia Flyers announced that they have reassigned 6'1", 200-pound defenseman Lars Jonsson and 6'2", 220-pound left wing Boyd Kane to their American Hockey League affiliate, the Philadelphia Phantoms, according to General Manager Paul Holmgren.
Jonsson, 24, has recorded two assists and six penalty minutes in eight games for the Flyers this season. He has also registered a goal and seven assists for eight points and six penalty minutes in 11 games for the Phantoms this season. He missed the first eight games of the season due to a high right ankle sprain.
A native of Borlange, Sweden, Jonsson was signed as a free agent by the Flyers on July 1, 2006.
Kane, 28, recorded two assists and 28 penalty minutes in 15 games for the Flyers this season. He missed nine games from October 26 through November 13 due to a high ankle sprain. He was also scoreless in two games for the Phantoms this season.
