John & Stacy Stevens & Washington Township High School to Collect Purr-fect Gifts for PAWS

by Staff Writer / Philadelphia Flyers
Dogs and cats at the Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) will receive over 6,000 purr-fect holiday gifts from Flyers Head Coach John Stevens, his wife, Stacy, and Washington Township High School. Stacy Stevens and members of the Flyers Fan Development Department will help Allied Van Lines transport the items from Washington Township High School to PAWS.

PAWS, one of the many beneficiaries of money raised from the Flyers Wives Fight For Lives Carnival, is dedicated to promoting public welfare and to saving the lives of Philadelphia’s homeless, abandoned, and unwanted animals. The opening of their newest adoption center last year marked the start a new era in Philadelphia’s efforts to save its animals. Located on the corner of 2nd and Arch Streets, the PAWS adoption center houses dogs and cats looking for forever homes and brings adoptable shelter pets to citizens in bright, pleasant settings.
