The Philadelphia Flyers, along with Flyers winger Joel Farabee and Gritty, joined seventh graders from Joseph Greenberg Elementary School for the first-ever Virtual STEM Day as a part of the National Hockey League/ National Hockey League Players Association's Future Goals initiative. During yesterday morning's online class, the students learned about the science of ice making by freezing water on baking sheets and practiced passing at angles with household items like cushions, brooms and tennis balls.

With the help of EVERFI, the Flyers are the first NHL Club to host a complete Future Goals STEM Day program virtually. Future Goals helps students build their science, technology, engineering, and math skills by using the fast-paced, exciting game of hockey as a learning vehicle.
